STRIPES, babies, buttons – I thought I had exhausted the whole chocolate-cake-with-fondant-cut-outs design. But then D wanted a birthday cake for her mum and sis (who share the same birthday) and showed me a website with a chocolate cake with cute, retro circles on it. She wanted me to copy it and have the circles in ivory and rose.
And whaddya know. In my humblestest opinion, I think my version kicked the original’s ass (C’mon D, back me up here. Just click on Comments. See it? Good).

of cos it was kickass! looked better than the original! In fact the original one did not look so chic & retro, probably cos it was so boring with just white colored circles, but your suggestion of adding other colors was great! And most of all, it tasted as good as it looked… that choc ganache was so smooth and rich, and the cake itself was nice and soft, not overly sweet like normal choc cakes from Sw**t S****ts for e.g. AND we finished the whole cake in no time !
Can’t wait to get another cake from you! You are doing good Babe !! Keep it up !
The cheque is in the mail, babe
Austin Powers would be so proud!
